Just a quick reminder that our first available class for making the Diamond Log Cabin Treeskirt is this Saturday. I am making mine from the Blue Hill's Victorian Christmas line of fine quilting fabrics we have at the shop. Can I put a kit together for you? They are wonderful.

I'll have lunch catered for $10 each or bring your own. I can't tell you how many of these tree skirts I have made for people and as gifts over the years and I don't have one for my own home. You know the saying "The dressmaker has no dresses?" Well that is going to change this year. Join me and make one for yourself. They truly are beautiful. Stop in and see our sample on display at the shop.
This pattern also creates a hexagon shaped table cloth. Six diamonds create the star shaped tree skirt. Twelve diamonds create the hexagon table cloth which is PERFECT for a round table. You can quilt your tree shirt or tie it with 3 skeins of Embroidery Floss. The cluny lace in the photo is optional as well.
